Elavon Inc. operates as a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, specializing in payment processing services. Originally known as NOVA Corporation, the company established its European presence in 2000 through a joint venture with Bank of Ireland, creating EuroConex Technologies. U.S. Bancorp acquired NOVA Corporation in 2001, and in 2008, the company was rebranded as Elavon.

Throughout its history, Elavon has expanded through strategic acquisitions and partnerships, including the purchase of Polish processor CardPoint in 2004 and the complete acquisition of EuroConex from Bank of Ireland in the same year. A significant recent development was the acquisition of Sage Pay's UK and Irish operations in 2019.
